A little about me

I began my training in the field of psychology with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. I continued my education at Nipissing University completing a Bachelor of Education degree. After working as a Special Education Resource Teacher for the Avon-Maitland District School Board, I returned to my studies to pursue a Masters degree in psychology.

I received my Masters of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology in 2007 from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. My graduate education included supervised clinical training to gain experience using a variety of treatment modalities in providing Individual Psychotherapy.

My work experience has included therapy in a private practice, and hospital setting, as well as psycho-educational consulting with a school board. I have been a member of the Ontario Association of Counsellors, Consultants, Psychotherapists and Psychometrists (OACCPP) since 2006.

I have been studying and training in various Energy Psychology techniques and am a member of the Canadian Association for Integrative and Energy Therapies. I have completed my Diplomate in Comprehensive Energy Psychology (DCEP) with ACEP International (Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology). I am an Advanced PSYCH-K® Facilitator and utilize meditation, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and other therapy modalities to increase my client's sense of health and well-being. Currently, I am an applicant for Registration with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario with the completion of 9,000 hours of practice.
